| Project Summary: | The Corridor STEM Initiative After-School Project is designed to implement and evaluate the effectiveness of after-school enrichment programs for students in grades 3-8 across nine program sites. Sites selected agreed to commit to recruiting females, low income and minority students. Pilot sites are assisted by a Teacher-In-Residence and AEA Consultants in the development and implementation of weekly hands-on, exciting learning opportunities where children learn to apply math and science concepts to real-world situations. Sites work with business partners, community partners and colleges and universities to give the children opportunities to work with students and businesses in STEM career related fields. |
