Statewide Celebration of STEM to take place this fall
CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – iExploreSTEM, a statewide inaugural celebration of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) will take place Sunday, Sept. 18, from 1 to 5 p.m. at the State Hygienic Laboratory at the University of Iowa Research Park in Coralville, Iowa. STEM experts from around the state are invited to join as sponsors and exhibitors.
A collaboration of the Iowa Mathematics and Science Education Partnership (IMSEP) and the State Hygienic Laboratory, iExploreSTEM is a free, hands-on festival for Iowa’s elementary and middle school students and their families designed to spur interest in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math. This one-day event will feature compelling, educational and entertaining activities, stage events and exhibits to boost kids’ interest in STEM. It will also help raise awareness by both parents and children of the STEM-related educational and career opportunities available in Iowa.
